In a game-changing move for home buyers, the Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry, in collaboration with the All India Forum of Real Estate Regulatory Authorities (AIFORERA), is finalising a plan to create a uniform RERA platform. This system will consolidate project details from all states, making it easier for buyers to check project statuses and builder track records.

Housing and urban affairs minister Manohar Lal has urged real estate agents to prioritise transparency and trust to drive the sector’s growth. Speaking at the National Association of Realtors India (NAR-INDIA) annual convention, he highlighted that India’s real estate market is projected to reach Rs 85 lakh crore by 2030.

Nationwide RERA Platform for Seamless Homebuyer Access

In a game-changing move for home buyers, the Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry, in collaboration with the All India Forum of Real Estate Regulatory Authorities (AIFORERA), is finalising a plan to create a uniform RERA platform. This system will consolidate project details from all states, making it easier for buyers to check project statuses and builder track records.

Currently, RERA information is fragmented across state-specific portals, forcing buyers to navigate multiple websites for project details. The new system will interlink all RERA databases, providing a single-window access point for real estate information nationwide.

With these reforms, the real estate sector is moving towards greater transparency and efficiency, benefitting both buyers and industry stakeholders alike.
